Picnicking is a great pleasure to me. I recall such a picnic in which I took part. We, ten classmates in all, went to Parimal Kanan near Chandrakana Road by a Tata Sumo. We set out quite early with tiffin carriers, flasks, towels and kits. We talked and sang merrily throughout the journey. We reached the spot at 9 am. It was a lovely place surrounded by trees. At first we had our breakfast with loaves, boiled eggs and bananas. We then enjoyed a ramble through the park. We cooked our food ourselves amidst a lot of fun and frolic. The food was simple but we feasted like a king. Time rolled on. The day glided by. In the evening we came back home with happy mood.
