A thirsty crow

It was a hot summer day. A thirsty crow flew into a village searching for some water to drink. He flew over houses, fields, and trees buy he could not find any water. After a long time, he came across a farm. Under one of the trees on the farm was a pot of water. There was very little water in the pot. The crow tried to reach the water but he was not able to do so as the neck of the pot was very narrow. He then tried to push the pot down for the water to flow out but the pot was too heavy for him. The crow looked around. He saw some pebbles. An idea struck in his mind. He picked up the pebbles into the pot, the water came up. Soon it was high enough for to drink. He drank the water. He flew away happily.

Moral – where there is a will, there is a way.

A Picnic I have recently joined

Picnicking is a great pleasure to me. I recall such a picnic in which I took part. We, ten classmates in all, went to Parimal Kanan near Chandrakana Road by a Tata Sumo. We set out quite early with tiffin carriers, flasks, towels and kits. We talked and sang merrily throughout the journey. We reached the spot at 9 am. It was a lovely place surrounded by trees. At first we had our breakfast with loaves, boiled eggs and bananas. We then enjoyed a ramble through the park. We cooked our food ourselves amidst a lot of fun and frolic. The food was simple but we feasted like a king. Time rolled on. The day glided by. In the evening we came back home with happy mood.

A film I have recently seen

All of us love to watch movies. A good movie is one in which we identify with the characters, share their joys and sorrows and become one with them. Recently I have seen the highly anticipated film, ‘Adipurush’. It is directed by Om Rout. The film is a grand retelling of the epic Indian mythological tale Ramayana. The main characters were Lord Rama acted by Prabhas and Ravana acted by Saif Ali khan. Their performances were truly remarkable, bringing depth and intensity to their respective characters. The visual effects in Adipurush were marvellous. The film beautifully recreates the ancient kingdom of Ayodhya and mythological landscapes through cinematography and CGI. The story teller in Adipurush was equally impressive. The film explores  the themes of righteousness, sacrifice and the power of good over evil, capturing the essence of the ancient epic while offering a contemporary relevance. The music composed by M.M Keeravani, added another layer of grandeur to the film.

A Clever Fox and a Foolish Crow

One day a crow stole a piece of meat from a shop. Then he flew to a tree and perched on the brunch of the tree to eat that meat. At that moment, a fox was passing under the tree. When he noticed the crow with a piece of meat, he became very greedy and wanted to have it desperately. So hit upon a plan to praise the crow. He said, “How beautiful you are! You are also the sweetest singer on this whole earth. Please sing a song for me.” At the foolish crow became very pleased. He started singing. The piece of meat dropped from his beak to the ground and the fox took it and ran away.

Moral – Do not believe in flattery.

A Short Note on YOUR VISIT TO A PLACE OF HISTORICAL INTEREST

Man is by nature a rational animal so he wants to know the unknown, to see the unseen and try to solve the mystery. Every body wants to see everything what he reads and learns from the pages of books if possible. In the last summer some of my friends, my parents and  I toured to Delhi. We set out for Delhi by Rajdhani Express from Howrah station. It was a clean moonlit night and I was charmed at looking the passing sights outside through the window. We reached New Delhi station on the next morning and then we went to our booked lodge by an auto- rikshaw. Then we went to visit places of historical interest by an EKKA- the Red Fort, the Moti Masjid, the Qutub Minar and some other places. On the next day we visited the Parliament House, the Santiban. On the third day we went to enjoy the glamour of the Tajmahal. At last, we left after visiting the Fatepur Sicri and Dewani Khas. Atlast, we started our return journey with the memories of visiting the places.
